I've been working on these blocks. It takes about ten minutes to make one, and I have about eighty left to make. I put in about twelve blocks a day. I'm going to machine quilt it when it's done, and then I might send it to the fair. I love the fair.
This is a photo of my favorite restaurant, and also what I order every time we go there. This particular item is not on the menu, and the chef makes it for me special. They have the best lobster bisque ever. Really.
I finished all the quilting on this today. I'm going to bind it tomorrow. My sister said she wished it was hers, so I know I did a good job. Yesterday, I put some more crochet time in on that scarf/hood thing. I'm going to finish it, but I'll never wear it because I don't like to wear stuff on my head.
I also made this today. It's just a little book for remembering shit, and I put it together in about fifteen minutes. I used copier paper, and be damned fancy binding, I balls-out sewed the pages together.
On Thursday, one of the places I order stuff from updated my sample books. They added this Ultrasuede, in all these colors. I'm pretty excited about this. I'm ordering some Monday.
That polka dot stuff reminds me of the mother's dress in The Cat in the Hat. I have always loved that dress.
My goals here were to streamline the designs while maintaining features and functionality. I also wanted the seams to be as bulk-free as possible. I'm happy, but there is always room for improvement. I did make a pattern off of the wallets, so I can reuse it. Most of the time I just start cutting, and have to redo it all if I want another one like it. Having a pattern saves time.
Red tote, Ralph Lauren fabric. The photo to the left bothers me because it makes it look uneven, when it is really straight.
This is basic and appealing, so it's called "General Admission".
This was my Halloween costume in 1991. It's hard to see,
but I'm wearing polyester pedal pushers and a smock. I'm the one
on the left. I think this went in my yearbook, but I never bought any of
them, so I can't be sure.
You are Sam Fisher. Your objective is to break into the headquarters of a foreign agency to try to stop a mercenary group from destroying the world. Lambert has given you the fifth freedom, and you've taken some lead to the torso. You're about to fail the mission, when you duck inside an unoccupied utility closet, and you find this...
This is what I made today. Both bags are made from embroidered vinyl and naugahyde.
This is the lining, made from polka-dot cotton, with an inside pocket.
